ANGELA STENZEL
MEZZO-SOPRANO
HI THERE
Angela Stenzel is a mezzo-soprano who has called Nashville home for over 10 years and is working to complete her Master’s in Vocal Performance at Belmont University. Praised for her “warm, rich mezzo register," and expansive range, she is creating a name for herself in a vibrant music community. She can be seen performing regularly with the Belmont Opera Theatre, Nashville Symphony Chorus, and Vocal Arts Nashville. This season she performed with the Belmont Wind Ensemble to showcase James Stephenson’s Symphony No. 2 Voices, where she had the chance to work with the composer to prepare for the performance. Belmont’s New Music Ensemble has become familiar place for her as well, as she has been working alongside them to showcase living composers’ new works. Angela's operatic roles and her recent credits include Jo in Little Women (scenes), Hansel in Hansel and Gretel (scenes), and Zita in Gianni Schicchi (Opera Lucca).
